With America's Original Rock `N Roll Party Band
© 2008 Herb Gross
Rock Till Ya Drop TV is the result of reuniting our 60’s rock ‘n roll party band known as Herb Gross & The Invictas.
During the 60’s, The Invictas (based out of Rochester, NY) had fan clubs, police escorts and a hit record and dance known as The Hump. The band wore English riding boots, drove a 1955 Cadillac hearse and thousands of fans would mob events where they played.
Today, some 40 years later, and the band has reunited and is rocking thousands of baby boomers and young families. The Associated Press did a feature article on the band that appeared in newspapers across America. NBC’s TODAY show did a story when they played with the Beach Boys. The band has even had young girls screaming at the front of the stage again and yes, there’s another hearse.
When The Invictas take the stage, the show is all about having fun and creating excitement. Herb Gross, the original lead singer of the band does a Mick Jagger type performance running from one end of the stage to the other singing and dancing with the crowd. Jim Kohler, the original bass player gets on top of his amp and rocks the crowd, and Dave Hickey the original drummer puts his shades on and lays down a good solid drum beat just like he did during the 60’s. Three of the four original Invictas are on stage, all in the 60’s. Cracker Jack musicians augment the band like Dave Profeta on lead guitar, guitarist Dick Callari and on keyboards there’s Sam Gruttadauria.
As a result of the band playing and seeing the reaction of the crowds, Herb decided to write a book about the band entitled Rock Till Ya Drop. Next, Dave Profeta and Herb created a theme song; a fun web site came next www.rocktillyadrop.com and now, a TV show.
About Rock Till Ya Drop TV
“Rock Till Ya Drop" is an attitude and philosophy of life that I’ve adopted. As you get older you realize that life is short and you have to follow your passion and dreams. That’s what The Invictas are doing and the TV show is a result of the band performances. People want to dance, have fun and the TV show will entertain, share boomer stories, and inspire others to follow their dreams,” says Herb Gross producer of the show.
The show will be shot in high definition TV at events that draw thousands of young families and boomers. “Wherever there’s a large party or an event going on, that’s where I would like Rock Till Ya Drop TV to be,” says Herb. The TV show will feature festivals, classic car shows, racing events, boating and fishing events, casinos, interviews of classic rock ‘n roll performers and performances by The Invictas.

I believe many will Rock Till They Drop, and that's why this TV show is so important.” says Herb.
